For many years, Glimmer has welcomed rhythmic gymnasts and coaches from around the world. Glimmer International Academy brings these international connections together and gives athletes different ways to become part of Glimmer, wherever their gymnastics journey may be taking them.

There is no single pathway that every gymnast needs to follow. An athlete may come to Canada to train with us, continue living and training abroad while being part of our international program, represent her own country and represent Glimmer at selected competitions.

Each athlete is different, and we want the Academy to reflect that.

TRAIN IN CANADA

Join Glimmer in Toronto for short or long-term training, training camps, private coaching, choreography, routine preparation, competition preparation or a full season.

TRAIN FROM ABROAD

Athletes do not need to relocate to Canada to become part of Glimmer International Academy. Gymnasts can continue living and training in their home country while working with Glimmer through an individual plan.

REPRESENT YOUR COUNTRY

Gymnasts can be part of Glimmer International Academy while continuing to compete for their home country. We are proud to support athletes in keeping their national identity while growing as part of our international community.

REPRESENT GLIMMER

Depending on the gymnast, level and competition, Academy athletes may also have opportunities to compete representing Glimmer.

International connections have been part of Glimmer for many years. We have been proud to welcome gymnasts and coaches from 17 countries: Brazil • Colombia • Egypt • El Salvador • Estonia • Finland • France • Greece • Japan • New Zealand • Russia • Slovakia • Switzerland • Ukraine • United Arab Emirates • United Kingdom • United States. Some athletes train with us in Canada, while others are based abroad. Some come for a short experience and others build a long-term connection with Glimmer. Every athlete and coach brings something different to our gym, and these international friendships and connections have become a very special part of who we are.
