Canadian rhythmic gymnast Carmel Kallemaa ( 26 ) has been making waves on the international stage, representing Canada at the Grand Prix Series in Europe this March.
In Estonia, at Miss Valentine Tartu Grand Prix Kallemaa showcased her new interesting routines, earning a well-deserved third place. Being ranked in top 3, Carmel won a place for the next Grand Prix competition.
Continuing her impressive streak, Kallemaa traveled to Marbella, Spain, where she not only performed beautiful routines but she also secured herself a spot in the next stage of the Grand Prix Series in Thiais, France.
In Thiais, France, Kallemaa’s talent once again advanced her to the finals. She also won her spot to the final Grand Prix stage that will take place in Brno, in June.
Carmel and her coach and mom Janika Mölder have taken a different approach this year and they choreographed very special, never before seen routines. For example one routine talks about people being stuck in social media, another one about money. All four of her routines have unique leotards designed by herself, that have caught eyes of fans and many media channels across the World.
We are excited to follow Kallemaa’s journey as she continues to bring excitement to the audiences, inspire gymnasts around the world and keep Canadian flag up high.
Carmel takes Canada’s Got Talent stage tonight at 8 PM on City TV. She shows her talent in the million dollar season, competing with other Canadian talents.
Carmel lives in Barrie and trains in Toronto, she represents Glimmer Athletic Club.
