The Glimmer Athletic Club participated at the 10th Torneo Internazionale per clubs Citta’ Di Terranuova Junior and Senior competition in the end of September 2018.. All the gymnasts were competing with two routines by choice.
Senior category – 30 gymnasts. Carmel Kallemaa 1. place in the clubs (15,65) and 6. place in the hoop (13,6). Bad luck in hoop routine, when hoop was flying out of the carpet. Carmel took a spare hoop which was novice sized and she did more than half of the routine with small hoop. After this mistake organizers changed all the spare hoops. Madison Rovers 7. place in hoop (12,4) and 12. place in ball (12,25)
Junior category – 39 gymnasts. Bobbi Rimrott 6. place in ball (11,5) and 9. place in ribbon (10,3) Katerina Berestetsky 8. place in rope (10,15) and 14. place in ball (10,4) Alissa Levytskyy 16. place in ball (10,05) and 19. place in clubs (10,05)
It was a good experience for our girls for the first start in the season. Competition was 3 hours behind. However it is good to learn from these kind of competitions.
Russian National Team coach Ekaterina Pirozhkova spent time in Toronto on July 30-August 11, 2018 teaching us many things that had yet to be learned. We had a great camp!
Thank you Ekaterina!
You are an amazing individual and because of that you also brought out the best in us!
